This scarce 1817 O-113a Capped Bust Half Dollar, minted in Philadelphia, is a prized business strike featuring the highly sought-after Overton 113a variety. Graded Fine 15 by CAC and encapsulated in a flawless CAC holder, it offers verified quality and authenticity. Crafted from 89.24% silver and 10.76% copper, this historic coin displays a distinctive obverse. The obverse has an internal die break behind the lower two right-hand stars, extending to the bottom curl of Lady Liberty’s hair, and is visible behind the 1 (in 1817) as the break curves toward the rim. The obverse also has vibrant aquamarine toning that is reminiscent of neon lights. The reverse has similar aquamarine and royal blue neon effect toning that is predominantly in the field immediately surrounding the eagle, as if it were a backdrop. There are subtle hints of dusky pink and golden hues that are visible on the surrounding edges of the reverse. This mesmerizing coin would be a beautiful addition to every coin collection.

    • FedEx 2-Day is available as a faster alternative to standard shipping. Standard shipping can take a week or longer, especially during the holidays.
