This 1913 Type 1 Buffalo Nickel marks the first year of issue and features the buffalo standing upon a raised mound, a design unique to the Type 1 variety produced only during part of 1913. Later that year, the Type 2 variety began, altering the mound to a level flat plain. The unique coin features a rotated reverse. Graded Very Fine 30 by CAC and encased within a flawless CAC holder, this coin represents a rare and highly collectible example for serious numismatists.
